The new Pike Middle School will replace the existing campus almost entirely, with the new building located next to the existing building’s current location. Upon completion, the existing building will be removed, though some athletic facilities will be retained.
Scheduled to open in August 2024, the new Pike will include similar features of Northwest ISD’s recent schools, such as extensive collaboration areas. Its athletics and fine arts aspects will feature similar formats to newer Northwest ISD middle schools, including Adams and Worthington middle schools, while maintaining a distinctive style of its own.
With its new location, on the site of the old One Horse Farm, Pike will feature an improved traffic flow with a dedicated lane in front of the school, off of Texan Drive. The new pattern will alleviate traffic slowdowns at the central complex (which also includes Northwest High School, Northwest ISD Stadium, the Northwest ISD Aquatic Center, the district administration building and other facilities).
